Kazatomprom life of mine is about 10 years. plenty of time for Australia to tool up and initiate new production and supply chains ready to pick up supply contracts at better prices than Kazakhstan. US dollar made mining profitable at low uranium price.
it's one of their biggest export earners so they will be keen to crank up the production. They May play more of a role in their own backyard with Russia and those countries that are building new reactors with Russian companies.
