    I must admit I did not think of it like that, but it certainly makes sense. I suppose the cost of fuel in the scheme of things would not be the deciding factor for how competitive the U.S. nuclear industry is with the other economies. Surely there are a few examples of countries which maintain a higher price for a good domestically than it is sold overseas. I might do some research on the dynamics involved in such a scenario.

    Ahh yes, that would be due to the old Carter Policy wouldn't it? I forgot about that one for a moment. Honestly deferring the reprocessing of spent nuclear reactor fuel was probably one of the main reasons the U.S. lost its position at the forefront of nuclear energy. Hopefully after a while this is one of the main changes to be made.
