OMG - I can't believe this is so complicated.

For anyone who was thinking of setting up for AJX either in Aus. or the US - hmmmmmm?


Comsec sounded great - I apparently have an account so far - still got to get the offical papers done and the tax - - but,

I eventually rang them about where to see market depth ----------------?

You can't!

If you want to know it - they 'ring' pershing - and they 'tell' you over the phone.

You better read it again - because I sure have trouble believing it ------------ 'they TELL you over the phone'


What sort of a Mickey Mouse unit is that?

So, you want to place an order for a couple of hundred K of stock - and it might just be a good idea to see what's for sale ----------------- BUT, you can't see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So - I thought - bugger this ------ I went to IB's site - and, eventually rang and asked - in my most polite, beautiful voice -----

'will I see market depth on the screen please?'


Guess what the bloke said? Go on - guess?

he said - wait for it!

At that point - even the bloody dog fell off the chair laughing!

Anyway - turns out you do see it apparently - 15 mins. delayed for free then for 10 bucks a month - you see it live - and if your fees are 30 bucks a month + - then it's free.

I haven't tried the demo things yet - as I have downloaded it 5 times (five - yep, five) so far - and, it has got to about 90% and started again.

so - what I have done is what any sane AJX'er would do ----------- I have gone to the cellar and pulled out 2 bottles of red.

I shall report back duly.
