So the US is looking at using DoD funds to fund a RE facility in Australia.
It is noted that Lynas does not have the capabilities to do this.
Again ARU has the environmental approval to build a separation plant.
So in my mind.
The US could pick ARU to partner with or;
Lynas could take a tilt at ARU.
Most other player already have other offtake agreements, i.e. NTU as HAS.
Any comments welcome. How is this could play out?

As a result, the Trump administration issued five presidential determinations that DoD funds should go toward developing a new rare earths capability. The Australian firm Lynas is central to the Pentagon’s proposed plan. The firm has both a mine in Australia and a processing plant in Malaysia, but does not have capabilities to handle the heavy earth separation required for most of the materials needed by the DoD. (It is unclear from Lord’s comments if the department is talking primarily to Lynas or the government over the issue.)
