Think the issue is that the nuber of actual trades lately have been small - early morning trading sees single digit trades and today, we've barely had 60 trades for the day.
That exaggerates SP swings up or down. VMT needs news to get those figures up and when that happens, the SP goes up significantly. Next big news item will be the production/sales update - six or seven weeks away - so not that long to wait.
