    yes Eric.... and interesting OP question.

    I've never quite understood boycotting votes as all it truly does is maintain the status quo..... the votes that aren't voted don't get counted in an election so there is no effect/consequences.

    Far better to turn out and vote for someone (anyone) who isn't a Party candidate.
