I believe sales employees earn a commission but an employee share scheme (ESS) company wide would be good.
The employees could sacrifice some of their wages to buy shares in the company, either through a lump sum payment or taken out of their wages over 12 months.
1. Sales employees get a stake in the company, incentivising them to grow sales & in turn their investment. 2. It would reduce cash burn on employee wages & the cash could be used to expand the company (new products, R&D or marketing).
It effectively turns employees from a liability into an asset/financial backer.
