Lots of cheap jibes from the same people who will be complaining about being unemployed, losing their houses and paying $500 for a cabbage in a few weeks. SIt down and think through the consequences of what is being proposed.

I want us to stop doing something which is going to kill our economy. You know that thing that pays for the hospitalsand health staff that are needed to deal with this virus the best we can. The decisions made are brainless. The impact is going to be far worse than the virus, it is going to be utterly catastrophic. We should be targeting the vulnerable groups to isolate them and at the same time do everything to keep the economy moving. This blanket approach will not work, it is going to cause untold misery, job losses, business closures, suicide on a scale yet unimaginable and then there will be no money to provide even the most basic service.

That clown Scomo has just announced a range of measures to protect jobs, including up to $100k to help with wage payments. This is absurd. Any medium size business has a pay run of $100k a week, what are you going to do the week after Scomo, when all those businesses you have propped up for a meagre one week have no revenue and a heap of fixed costs. We are led by a man and a poilitical class who have no idea about running a business but know everything about grandstanding and the size of their own pay packets.
