well thankfully there are very few that agree with your sentiments. Profits before people is about as draconian as you could get. Allowing people to die because they are vulnerable is about as draconian as you could get. If everything goes back to zero it can all be rebuilt. Without protection of life as our first choice we have no society. Death is inevitable but there is no acceptable level . There are efforts put into obesity and flu non stop to reduce severity or find vaccinations etc.
I am interested though in your solution? Gather up all the sick and elderly and isolate them I suppose? Way too late for that. If the severity of the virus was predicted and accepted 6 months ago maybe the world could have prepared better but seeing this is beyond anything previously known it is pretty difficult to take action. Even the past 2 weeks has seen responses escalate but by all means please share your solution.
