long term investment in a resource company eh?

my, what a radical idea.

Several of us have done that of course - we are referred to as the ra ra gang or the cheer squad.

We do radical clandestine activities like speak to the company and find out what their dreams and aspirations are. We check how things are going and we question when things go astray.

Lets face facts guys, fml is a gold mining company - always has risk, as does any stock.

However, if you don't do resource companies as long term investments - then you really are a gambler, not an investor.

All this bitterness you are seeing here is gamblers trying to wack the horse for not giving them a winning ticket ------ which in the bitterest of cases they have thrown the ticket away.

If you can't handle volatility, you shouldn't be within cooee of putting money into mining companies - especially young ones and especially gold mining companies.

Things go wrong in all business and mistakes are made - it's how you fix em that is important.

If fml makes a mistake, it should pick itself up, clear the decks and move forward - simple.

Same same if you lose on an investment - there are two ways - learn what didn't work and take that lesson forward - just make sure you have learnt the real lessons, don't just shy from the pain.
The other way is to whine and bitch, blame the horse, blame the company, blame the staff --------- blame almost anything but yourself.

The latter does you no good --------- and it doesn't do any of us around you any good either.

Honestly, with resource companies - go long term, and only if you are interested in what the company is doing - if you have no interest in gold or geology or metal -- why the hell bother?
If you want to gamble -------- go futures or something similar - it's just numbers and there are a truckload of people you can blame for your losing money.
