yep, need some form of metal detector with the sonar and thus self steering. not an easy idea to integrate in salt water
worse is big storms (daylight) and no way to steer around it due to rolling waves or you do not see it till too late.
Otherwise a wonderful idea and need lots of floatation inbuilt in the yatch
