Yes, Suze Orman was a regular on PBS TV selling her financial CDs and methods of consolidating debt.
Robert Kiyosaki also had shows on PBS but encouraged incomming vs outgoing thinking. ie. assets vs liabilities.
I agree with you about debt. My Wife and I borrowed just $20,000 in 1988 for our first house and never had debt since. Sure we have credit cards but ALWAYS pay the entire bill at the by the due date. In the past if we couldn't afford something we went without until we saved the entire amount. Needless to say, that was very rarely.
