Alex did not become a board member until years after listing on the ASX, that there was a change of Senegalese government after listing, and the new people had to settle, Senegal is a developing country, and one has to get to know and understand the new players; and last, over 85,000 artisanal miners from all over Africa, (armed with not only bulldozer, mining equipment but Kalashnikov machine guns), invaded the tenements after the alluvial mining started. It took years to get rid of them. In the end the Senegalese army was employed. A contingent is still housed on site
I had been a shareholder in Mineral Deposits since the New Hampton mining days in Western Australia through to the Sabodala aquisition and start up with family connections to senior management. That lead me to BSR
