DTs are not the problem, in fact the liquidity they provide is often appreciated. The real problem these days is the large institutions and their nominees manipulating the stock so making it harder or near impossible for retailers to make a buck. When will ASIC really act to stop these dark pools with their hidden liquidity trades and HFTs from creating false markets? How's your average punter supposed to compete?
