Do you know the history of payment apps and nfc ,? I suggest not.
NTT Japan,SK Korea and Telstra under Trujillo understood the potential and all 3 ex govt telcos started nfc payments.
The financial benefit is on record regarding the financial windfall for ntt and sk because they continued with their nfc mobile phone app established their market share well ahead of global tevhs and telcos and then the their networks were simply transitioned to hybrid terminals which accepted applepay etc but the ex govt telcos had already established their market share of approx 70% but thodey shelved the successful research with anz westpac etc and shelved trujillo's research , as usual trujillo led this technology development but thodey shelved it.

Regarding yr comments re tls's entry into energy,again imo only u fail to understand imo technology including 5g will change the business model of banking,health,energy ,telecommunications and tls is in the box seat regarding competitive advantages in almost all sectors but penn has achieved a 50% reduction in net profit,an absolute miracle..
Lets not forget slowly penn is understanding this and penn,not me is moving into the energy sector.Better late than never i guess.

So if u were the tls ceo even considering history u would not have continued to develop tls's/trujillo's payment app like ntt and sk and now u appear to disagree with tls embracing energy/energy power stations considering australias unique /pathetic energy policy while agl,origin embrace telecommunications both nbn and mobile..
