If recent movements are anything to go by the market is not too thrilled with Obama taking office.
Last night the VIX shot up, gold shot up, metals fell down, The dow dropped 4% and our dollar crashed. So did most currencies against the US dollar - all in response to uncertainty I assume. (Lucky I placed my bets on energy stocks - oil went up too - expected.)
All I can say is Obama had better start with some constructive talk to fix this mess while we still have a market there.
As for BHP? I just dont know? Depends on what Obama says!
However, My thinking is toward a bounce tonight.
