Should worse come to worse, metals become ever so more important in warfare. You need something to make those millions of projectiles. A mine capable of producing a finished product, such as copper plate, would be invaluable.
But, I highly doubt WW3 will eventuate. It's just a good opportunity to buy on the market off the back of the annual media fear mongering campaign.
