I am a total amateur investor. Originally got involved in an IPO for a tech company and sunk a large sum in (for me at least). Stock price went sky high, then came crashing down and I am still in the red 5 years later with that one (but sure, I still bought on the way down.)
Lesson learned? Diversify.
So I started to do just that and came across PNV (my pride and joy) and I think from PNV I came across IMU. I often take note of stock codes other posters include in their signatures, especially when I respect those posters. So I started to read about IMU, watched a tonne of videos and was really taken by the science and impressed by the team (esp. Leslie & Axel). I bought IMU parcels at 0.03, 0.024, 0.057, 0.058.
I would buy more, but having learned the first time, I want to keep diversifying a little more.
So instead I tell my boyfriend to buy them! He constantly asks about the share price "oh... something happened today... IMU went down. Why did it go down?" Sure I check the share price before I go to sleep and first thing when I wake up (I am in Vienna) & I check HC multiple times per day (to read all your posts) but the daily fluctuations do not bother me because I am here for the long run, with all my shares, even my first one which is still in the red. I am holding long because I see incredible potential in IMU and some of my other Biotechs. Despite some having increased by 700% I still would not dream of selling now, because they have really only just started to gain momentum.
Sure, I want to make money at the end of the day and shares allow me to make my money work a bit harder for me, but to also know I have a small piece of a company on the bleeding edge of science that potentially revolutionised cancer treatment... and that company being a 'little' Aussie company is pretty sweet.
