Simandou construction is happening briskly and for months if one bothers to Google in French. It won't be months but a few years. That's why I believe a massive domestic iron ore capacity (never an issue of abundance but one of cost), steel cuts, recycling and culling zombie steel mills will be unleashed by China the moment we declared war on them. We did exactly that this week. It would be reasonable to assume going forward for China to buy all the ore it can firstly from Brazil, other producers like India, South Africa and then FMG. Rio and BHP (majority Anglo American) will cop the brunt of the missed sales. So much for AUKUS. We want war, we get war just reading Kevin Rudd's Op-Ed earlier. LoL
