Agree but, look at what their attitudes to family and relationships are.
In my experience this holds to be true too, but, in general, regardless of nationality, if someone doesn't believe the point of working is to support their family, they do not work hard.
Eg, the reason we import people is that our culture lacks a reason for people to work hard- mindless consumerism isn't sufficient reason to work hard.
Indeed look how much I post on hot copper while at work; I have no kids. Correlation? Hmmm
