I have asked for the post flagging a suspected Turkish air strike of Afrin to be removed because there was no air strike.
There is plenty of confirmation of Turkish forces striking Afrin with artillery....... and to civilians on the ground a 155mm HE shell can indeed sound like an air strike.

I hold to my stated views. Russia and the US BOTH need to ensure that Turkey keeps out of the area and stops landing heavy artillery shells into the area.
The border force needs to be a UN one. There to ensure independent verification of violations by any side.
From there an economic arrangement between the Northern Federation and the Alawite led regime is required. Assad needs to grow up an accept an offer which will ensure unity within a broader federation. At that point, the YPG say they will happily join a united military force.
