Joel, Yes that's true you can sell the shares you held at the record date for the SPP. However, a lot of small traders like me would have only a small no of shares apart from the SPP ones. I have noticed a lot of stagging with recent SPPs such as GNC, MCC and WEC when the SPP shares are actually allocated to CHESS accounts. That is why i am hoping for a positive ANN from NGE prior to the new shares being in people's accounts
