Mr Coleman also pointed to progress towards Woodside's first oil project in Senegal, and reiterated his view that arbitration being pursued by junior joint venture partner FAR Ltd is "frivolous" and "rent-seeking" behaviour.
ASX-listed FAR separately announced the completion of a $45 million capital raising to fund its share of the SNE oil project and work on a proposed drilling program next year.
A decision to go ahead with the oil project is due in the second half.
