I am not sure about Aldi I do not shop there but at woolies they certainly bring in stuff from overseas, stuff that is widely available locally.
It is a downward spiral--- say Golden Circle, Aus made make baked beans, cost 50c a can and make 10 million cans a year.
Woolies buy Chinese beans for 45c a can
Golden Circle volume drops, down to 5 million cans a year and their costs go to 60c a can---- cant compete, and have to shut down.
We need a clearly driven Australian made campaign.
