Every sexual activity is a choice heterosexual or homosexual.
To trying to define social normality through the lens of any fringe group is not cohesive for functioning of society.
To vote yes to redefining marriage and bringing only one barrier to marriage down but leaving many others still in place. It is not an appealing act of some faux equality attempt as barriers to marriage will still reman. it is appealing because it is an attack on the family, the attack on the natural order and an act of defiance against the creator himself
People in rebellion love to do what is opposite to what is morally correct. That is the appeal of the yes.

It seems to be the distaste around sodomy (of Sodom and Gomorrah fame) that is a big issue here, and if you happen to be 'religious' as well it gives you an excuse to 'lash out'.
