The philosophy of perception is concerned with the nature of perceptual experience and the status of perceptual data, in particular how they relate to beliefs about, or knowledge of, the world. Any explicit account of perception requires a commitment to one of a variety of ontological or metaphysical views. The senses play an important role in a determination. Somehow, our commitment to a perception of the views we have determine how we see what is outside of us.
It's a little complex but worth the effort. You'll do well as it is in your nature- inborn.
