Yes the hand painted comment was only from a YouTube reviewer stating that they appear to be hand painted. Take it as a complement to yowie for the detail of the enclosed toy. Realistically the toys could never be hand painted as paint may come off and into the mouth of small child. This would never be allowed for FDA approval.

I am considering the the enclosed toy as like an imitation of the German made schleich figurines. Quality moulded and detailed coloured plastics, suitable for small children, non toxic and the rest...
