I think the focus should be on looking at what inland rail (and others) can deliver in terms of increased operating efficiency and new opportunities; and how to integrate the new rail with the road transport in terms of optimising depot locations etc. And you can do all that without taking the next step of being an operator.
But one thing seems certain....more and more of the Lindsay business will be moving onto the tracks.
