Possibly, possibly not. AstraZeneca had been working on a problematic drug for many many years and thought Starpharma’s DEP might have been the magic solution.

Unfortunately no. Twelve years and 3 terminated trials later the problem wasn’t solved.

At least with the AstraZeneca partnership Starpharma received an upfront licence fee and milestone payments!!!
