Yes those numbers are being shorted each day, I see that on my CommSec. But I think it does show the shares that are returned. I just took a snap shot of my CommSec and it shows that the overall position of shorted stock is 0.2519% = 416,421 shares. It shows the 150,000 share shorted yesterday.
So from I can gather yes new short positions have been taken out over the last three trading days. But shares must have also been returned for the number to stay at 0.2519%.
What do you think? it is a bit over my head.
