    Job description
    We are a Central Bank of Cyprus regulated EEA Authorised eMoney Instiution, that provides transactional banking services for our FinTech, gaming, gambling, banking, financial services, and retail customers.



    Our office in Nicosia is seeking talented java developers to assist with our growth. There are several roles available, and we encourage mid level as well as experience developers and devops to apply.



    Upcoming projects include Computer Vision, AI/ANN, eBanking, extension of our payments systems, security, e-Identity and developing applications based on our patents.




    Java Developers

    We are looking for both mid level to highly experienced Senior Java developers, with full stack expertise including front and back end systems, preferably with work experience in ebanking, payments or fintech systems.

    Java Developer Roles and Responsibilities


    We are looking for developers that want to support our products and/or develop new products.



    We appreciate these are two very different roles, and want to hear from you if either or both are of interest.



    Developers will:


    • Be highly proficient in implementing Java software across the entire technical stack
    • Participate in the full cycle of product conceptualisation, defining requirements, design and architecture, planning, building, testing and supporting a 24/7 mission critical global payments system
    • Gather and transform high level requirements into detailed specifications Review and refine software, architecture, processes and test plans
    • Ensure high quality delivery within an iterative environment
    • have an ability to pickup and integrate new technologies quickly,
    • Continually identify areas where we can increase automation and reduce manual and support processes


    Expectations for Mid to Senior Java Developers

    Experience at minimum as a Mid (4-6 years) or Senior (6-8+ years) developing a mid/front office banking, fintech or payment system is essential (preferably Web 2.0 or Flex based)


    • Minimum of 3+ years recent industry experience, primarily with Java and Javascript.
    • Well rounded end to end experience spanning both front end and server side technologies
    • Experience developing architecture and technical strategies for front end and server side integration with different upstream and downstream systems on different technologies
    • Very good knowledge of RDMBS (Postgress) and NoSQL databases (Mongo)
    • Excellent Java ability (Java 8)
    • Desirable Javascript ( ie Node.js or Nashorn on server and Angular, Ext, Ember, Faye, CT3 on fronted ) and Comet/React.

    Our team members are all able to deal with a highly demanding client base and have an

    ability to work independently, analyse problems and act decisively with minimal management oversight. We foster a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and reward based on commitment and outcomes. Ideally candidates will have understanding of PCI DSS and ISO27001 requirements, and will have a strong grasp of security concepts. All of our technical team participate in on call support as member of a roster based team.
