Depends on what your definition of protection is, actually either way it does not matter. You are less likely to get COVID if you are vaccinated and you are sure as hell less likely to die if you do get COVID.

Clearly no vaccine is 100% effective, and the COVID vaccine is no different and those who state it is are lying, but it does offer significant protection against COVID.
