Good post. I don't do automatic stop losses anymore as I have been exploited on this by the big guys with priviledged status. Must have patience and have a few stocks prepared to buy into with the right bot activity. I try and buy as low as possible, low in terms of fundamentals vs mis-matched short term sentiment. A good example came today with BCC where theres a lot of overhang from thrice burnt investors they couldn't appreciate company changing news, so while it's a little higher from where it's been, its very low in terms of the dramatically changed fundamentals. The other rule I have is never chase, no matter how good it looks, fear of missing out is the great money destroyer. If you buy low you can ride out the volatility with so much more relaxation.
