Not sure that getting ahead of the curve in heavy manufacturing is Australia's forte.
We are surprisingly good at niches, but not sure I would see this as niche, if it were to become the norm.
Certainly would not like to see a lot of money that might perhaps be spent on , lets say, decent child mental health care , being spent on developing such an industry.
Just in general terms, where do I see Australia's future prosperity.
Agriculture
Education
Tourism
Health Services
Financial and Legal Services
Renewable energy exports [ and if we get energy production right, maybe manufacturing]
