not sure your point. As far as investing goes, I look at my profit from when I invest and when I sell.
I don't do this at FY dates but when I judge appropriate.
If you are talking about strength of a business, a company makes a profit one year and a loss the next it could be for many reasons, more interested in the reasons than just raw numbers. Amazon failed to make a profit for many years but was a wise investment.
Seems like lots of threads all on same subject. Could mods perhaps merge all these together - they are all on same topic no?
