@BenGrahamReborn; there are plenty of examples in Australia and overseas of large corporations with sick, toxic cultures and there's little doubt that responses to the Covid Pandemic have rattled the cages of many businesses.
Many of those which stood by their personnel and took a financial hit are standing tall, those which exploited JobKeeper and delivered windfall bonuses to execs are looking pretty sick.
Moral bankruptcy is NOT a desirable corporate quality and treating loyal personnel as costs to be reduced just doesn't cut the mustard.
Small wonder that after treating Australians so poorly many businesses now can't get people to work for them. Only a very stupid government would prop up such businesses - market capitalism dictates they must FAIL and it appears Qantas now fits that bill.
